Respite

Respite provides short-term care and supervision for the child in order to provide much needed relief for parents or caregivers. Respite may take place in the child’s home, throughout the community, or in the home of the respite provider with prior authorization.

Funding Options

Respite services are authorized by the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).  The maximum annual approval for respite is typically 600 hours.

Please contact your DDD Support Coordinator. To be eligible for funding, families must be approved through Arizona Long Term Care Services (ALTCS).
